Petaling Jaya, 19 November 2020 – “Some people talk to animals. Not many listen though. That’s the problem,” famous teddy bear Winnie the Pooh was once quoted as saying by English author A.A. Milne. Encouraging the need to pay attention to pets and share valuable information, ROYAL CANIN®, one of Malaysia’s leading brand in pet health nutrition is going LIVE with Jom Talk Pets! Podcast Guests this Friday, 20th November at 8pm.

Emphasising the need for an insight into pets, the session will feature three guest speakers who are opinion leaders in their own right and who will be discussing their experience from previous podcasts in the series.

Friday’s Facebook LIVE session will feature Associate Professor Dr. Puteri Azaziah Megat Abdul Rani who is an expert in Companion Animal Parasitic Diseases at Universiti Putra Malaysia, Dr. Timothy Cheng, an orthopaedic specialist trainee with the University of Malaya and veterinarian Dr. Natasha Lee who is an independent animal welfare consultant.

Each speaker were previously featured in the podcast series run by Royal Canin since its launch in September. There have been eight episodes, and the most recent – “How to Train your Puppy” – went live on November 3.

Realising the need for better pet care knowledge and the rising number of pet ownership across the globe, and in Malaysia, Royal Canin rose to the occasion to address the possible concerns of pet owners.

Dr Melissa Phoon, Corporate Affairs Manager, Royal Canin Malaysia remarked on the firm’s satisfaction in having hosted these podcasts: “We feel that in disseminating better pet care knowledge would benefit not only pet owners, but pet cats and dogs as well. The podcasts allows for pet owners to obtain the best information, substantiated by science and verified by experts in the field.”

She notes how pets are important life companions for many especially in times of uncertainties.

“We saw a need to help pet owners who were looking for more knowledge about their furry loved ones, especially when Malaysia came under the Movement Controlled Orders and we are happy that we have made this information accessible to pet owners,” she added.
